Ms. Fatima Sajid is a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry at QAU. She was a gold medalist in BS session 2015-2019 and then completed her M.Phil. in Inorganic/Analytical Chemistry from the same department in 2021. During the third year of PhD, she is awarded the prestigious fully funded Commonwealth Split-site Scholarship at the University College London (UCL) under the supervision of Dr. Anna Regoutz. At UCL, she is working on the detailed characterization of oxide composites with 2D materials using laboratory and synchrotron-based X-ray characterization techniques to aid the fabrication of complete sensors. She will also collaboratively work in the diamond light source beamline, Harwell campus; to get insights on synchrotron work.
